Hanging up Bird Feeders

This past Wednesday I was back at the Liebenzell Center Volunteering.  In the late morning and afternoon Jeff, 2 other volunteers and I were working on building and placing those bird feeders.  They turned out quite well.

Just so you know, because this blog appears at the very top of the webpage, it is not the only blog I wrote today.  If you scroll down, you'll see that I wrote two blogs today.

Christmas and into the New Year 2012

This year as usual I spent the Christmas weekend with mom and dad and for the 23rd in the evening with Glausers, a swiss family we are close to.  However, for the first time ever this year, I felt a need to go back to Kitchener to my own apartment and space from the 26th to the 30th and go back up to mom and dad's for new year's as a seperate weekend.  It felt great, because other years I would spend 10 days at mom and dad's and coming back to Kitchener after that was a big shock.  Also I had more independence.  I went for coffee with a friend of mine on the 28th for a few hours, and at my pastor's house on the 29th I watched "Lord of the Rings" all three movies for a total of almost 9 1/2 hour watching time with breaks in between.  We started at 9:30 am and finished at 7:40 pm.  I was so tired after that.

Over the New Years weekend I went up north to mom and dad again and Ursi with Jeff, Katie and Maya were there too.  We ate chest nuts, played Carcasonne, ate Meat Fondeoue with home grown and cut french fries (the best you can have) and watched 3 episodes of season 7 ER, and before you know it it was 12:00 AM.  2012.

Katie and Maya had lots of fun opening gifts and playing with Grossvati (my dad).
And Grossvati always has lots of fun playing with Katie and Maya.

On January 1st Jeff and I went to the Waldkaffi (Trailer and Fireplace in the bush down by the river).

I should mention that I got a new digital camera from mom and dad for Christmas.
So I'm really excited about it and have lots to learn and take pictures of when I can and use them.

Anyways's that was my Christmas and New Year Season and now I'm back in the swing of things.
I hope you all had a great Christmas season too.
